What Does this abdominal Ultrasound Result Mean?

Abdominal ultrasound recently, to wit; The liver is homogeneous in echotexture althrough of increased echogenicity likely due to fatty infiltration. Hypoechoic area is seen in the left hepatic lobe measuring 3.2 x 1.5 cm. The lesion has a tubular shape rather than a masslike appearance. Please explain what it means. Thanks

Hello

Your findings suggests fatty liver and hypoechoic area in left lobe of liver.
Fatty liver is a manageable condition.

You may need few more investigations like routine hemogram,random blood sugar,lipid profile.
You should be active in daily activities.

Main concerning finding is 3.2 x 1.5 cm hypo echoic lesion in left lobe of liver.
You may need contrast CT scan of abdomen for proper evaluation.It is a tubular lesion and doesn't typically look like mass lesion.
CT scan can evaluate lesion properly.
